RECYCLED CARDBOARD

Recycled cardboard gives existing paper fibers another life, transforming a familiar material into an unexpected component of Prota Fiori footwear.

Within our shoes, recycled cardboard is used to construct the midsole, the internal layer between the insole and outsole that forms part of the shoe's underlying structure. Though invisible once the shoe is finished, it plays an essential role in its construction.

Its use reflects a principle that has guided Prota Fiori from the beginning: material innovation should extend beyond what is immediately visible. Every layer of the shoe is an opportunity to reconsider how something is made.
