UPCYCLED APPLE SKINS
Apple industry surplus, recovered and transformed into a fine upper material.

Created from residual material from the production of apple juice, our apple skin transforms an agricultural by-product into a refined material for footwear.
Developed and produced in Italy, the process combines recovered apple residuals with polyurethane rather than PVC. Color is achieved using pigments primarily derived from minerals in a water-dispersion process, without conventional tanning or dyeing.
The material is produced in a facility powered by renewable solar energy. Developed in Italy more than a decade ago, apple skin reflects the intersection of material innovation and Italian manufacturing expertise that is central to Prota Fiori.
